Just ordered and consumed my first and last delivery order from this restaurant. Their online ordering is very easy, but the food leaves a great deal to be desired. I guess if you lived in a non-food city, where choices were chains and greasy spoons, this might pass for decent Chinese food. But it isn't. I don't recommend it, and our family will stick with Thai food for now, until we find a Chinese restaurant with food we find palatable and edible.

There is nothing good, standard, decent, enjoyable or edible at this place! After having an awful meal here a couple of years ago, I had written it off completely. But today, laziness and a lapse of reasoning had me order from them. Other than pizza this place is the only other delivery option near me. Damn my laziness!I was hoping maybe the food has improved. So I ordered Scallion Pancakes, Sesame Beef and Vegetable Lo Mein. The pancakes were raw and doughy in the middle, with no flavor other than oil. The Sesame Beef was covered in a thick, tasteless, overbearingly sweet glaze - oh and there was about 10 sesame seeds sprinkled on top. But the dreadful meal did not end there, the Lo Mein was burnt! The noodles and cabbage had burn marks and the whole thing tasted smoky. I can't believe they would actually send this out to a customer! Ughhhh, I want my 28 bucks and calories back!Do yourself a favor, don't go here! It won't be better for you, they weren't having an off day - they just suck!

Well, you have to love when you order food that is never delivered and the restaurant hangs up on you when you call to inquire (after 90 minutes).

August Moon is a fairly standard Chinese restaurant. We ordered some takeout from there, and everything was really good. In particular, the pork with black bean sauce was excellent. However, the shrimp tempura appetizer we ordered was little more than fried butterfly shrimp -- not worth the price-per-shrimp cost that is being charged for it. Also, their chicken wings are not very meaty at all.All that said, they are currently my go-to place for Chinese takeout, because the classical standards that they offer are very good.

All around terrible. Delivery took 1.5 hrs, the food was expensive given the portions. The food itself was terribly disappointing, overly salty, not much flavor otherwise. Will not eat here again

1 star is generous. Paid almost $8 for smaller than a side fried rice. This is barely a step up from Panda Express, which I ordered and ate drunk. Moreover, the delivery man was rude bc apparently he couldn't read my clearly given directions. No matter how desperate we are for Chinese food we will forgo if it means having to order for this place again. Disgrace to delivery.

I thought the service was good, and the food was good too. Best Egg Flower soup I've had.... maybe ever!

Low end food with mid-grade prices. After coming here many times i finally took the time to write a review on the place. While comparatively its better then a competitor restaurant on 21st its still got its problems.Upon entering the place, the decor is cheap, typical of a Chinese restaurant that hasn't replaced furniture, carpets, or those little things about the building interior that wear out.The menu is extensive, its very meat based, my food review is only in the context of the veggie menu however. There are about 9 items on the veggie menu, most of them are very unbalanced meals. Meaning heavy in carbs and one particular thing and light in other things, that is except for the tofu and veggies. Its light on choices for the vegetarian. The food is fairly bland, lack of any spicy items on the menu is a real betrayal to what things could be.The service is just very poor, we were rushed on ordering. Water glasses on the table ran empty frequently.Advise to the proprietors: Add some spicy options, replace the carpet, remodel the bathroom, and expand the veggie menu include things that have flavor. I'd probably return again, but my expectations are pretty low so i'm not surprised.

Inconsistent.I have been there where it was great; the hot & sour soup is one of my favorites and kung pao chicken is my go-to for measure. They serve the soup with a basket of the little fried wonton thingys, which is a good thing...When it is good, it should get 3.5-4 stars. But inconsistency is not okay in the restaurant business and we stopped going there because every other time our food was overly oily and filled with gristle. I'll pay the extra $2-3/plate and go to Mandarin Cove a couple blocks away. At least I know what I'm getting.

So many bad reviews but for some reason I still feel like I should give it a shot. (I live 2 blocks away) My first impression is that the woman who answered the phone seemed really upset that I was calling in a takeout order. I ordered an egg roll appetizer, cup of egg drop soup, and order of garlic chicken. The egg rolls were not edible. Stale, cold, bland, just awful. The soup was fine, pretty typical egg drop soup. The Chicken in garlic sauce wasn't that bad. Could have used some more spice to it, but it was a fairly large portion for how cheap it is. Why they only give you a quarter cup of rice to go with a massive thing of chicken is beyond me. Seriously of all things to be stingy with, white rice seems like an odd choice. If the woman who works there wasn't so rude I'd probably give this place an A-OK and just forget I ever ordered the egg rolls. But instead it gets two, I'd rather pay the five extra bucks and get food at the Korean place next than go back here. This place has 45 reviews and all all but a handful are 1-3 stars, STAY AWAY.
